Arends Rus is owner operated and a family friendly Resort situated on top of a private koppie overlooking Loskop Dam.  Ideal for family vacations and sure to keep the family entertained with many activities and facilities close-by.

There are 3 well-equipped cozy Log Cabins (fridge/freezer, microwave, stove) providing a relaxed atmosphere to rest and unwind. Each cabin offers two bedrooms (sleep 4), kitchen, bathroom, deck, lounge, outside open air shower, own private braai area and own under cover parking – overlooking the dam.

Arends Rus boasts a private environment – expect a friendly farm atmosphere without the commercial “overcrowding.” There is also a swimming pool, sun deck and lawn for relaxation at the main Cabin.

When not relaxing, guests can spend quality time together doing mountain walks, watch roaming game which frequent the farm, spot local birds – to name a few.

Safari: Loskop Nature Reserve boasts three of the big five (white Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard), with almost 70 mammal species on 20,000 ha, and has day visitors braai facilities. Own transport required.

An alternative option is a game drive (own vehicle or game viewer) at the popular Kranspoort Estate where you are sure to spot very tame game. A 4 x 4 course with braai en-route is also available close-by.

Golf: A 9-hole challenging golf course is 5 minutes drive from Arends Rus.

Boating: Loskop dam offers excellent fishing with 27 species to target!  Bring your own boat or book a charter boat on Loskop dam to land your personal best or to take in unforgettable sunsets on the water.

Bird Watching: Bird Watching for the enthusiast. Kranspoort hosts monthly Bird Watching expeditions with local experts as guides.

Spa:  Pamper and spoil your loved ones to a session at our nearby Spa. Special discounts apply for Arends Rus’s guests.

Restaurants: Not feeling like packing your own bushveld braai, then relax and enjoy a sumptuous meal at one of many places to eat close-by.

Other:  For the adrenaline junkies who wish to up their game a notch – take Paint Ball war games or Zip Lines – all within close proximity from Arends Rus.
